Craig International Ballistics has applied its expertise in development of aircraft armour, to uses in marine armour panels for border patrol vessels and Navy frigates.
Airframe requirements for precise engineering and very lightweight components are readily applicable to maritime requirements.
Our lightweight marine bullet resistant panels incorporate materials such as:
- Boron Carbide (B4C)
- Silicon Carbide (SiC)
- Honeywell Spectra Shield®
- DSM Dyneema®
- Dupont Kevlar® Aramid
Craig International Ballistics manufactures a full range of ballistic protection panels to suit marine, aircraft and structural use.
Our armour panels can be manufactured in sizes of up to 1.6m x 3.0m.
We have been involved in a number of contracts for the supply of lightweight NIJ Level III / III plus and IV armour panels for high speed patrol boats protecting international borders.
Modern ballistic fabrics are extremely light, and in a number of cases, float. This makes them desirable for boat armour, but a necessity for amphibious assault body armour.
