Craig International Ballistics (CIB) is an Australian designer and manufacturer of advanced ballistic protection systems, supplying innovative armour solutions to defence, law enforcement, government and specialist commercial customers throughout Australia and international markets. Established in October 1999, CIB has spent almost 27 years developing and manufacturing lightweight ballistic protection systems that combine advanced engineering, rigorous testing and world-class manufacturing.

Our capabilities extend well beyond the manufacture of individual products. We provide complete research, engineering, manufacturing and testing solutions across personal protection, vehicle survivability, aircraft armour, naval protection systems and transparent armour. Every project benefits from our highly experienced engineering team, vertically integrated manufacturing facility and continual investment in advanced production technologies.

Research and development remains at the core of our business. Our purpose-built facility enables the efficient transition from customer concept and engineering design through to prototype manufacture, in-house ballistic evaluation and full production. This integrated approach allows rapid product development, continual improvement and complete control over quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Craig International Ballistics has made significant investments in advanced manufacturing capability, including ultra-high-pressure composite consolidation, large-format ballistic panel manufacturing, CNC machining, precision waterjet cutting, robotic polyurea coating systems, automated X-ray inspection and advanced composite processing technologies. These capabilities enable the production of lightweight, high-performance armour systems for some of the world's most demanding operational environments while maintaining strict quality and performance standards.

Supporting our engineering capability is our dedicated in-house ballistic testing range together with NIJ stab and spike testing facilities. These resources allow our engineering team to rapidly evaluate new materials, manufacturing techniques and product designs, significantly accelerating product development while ensuring every solution is thoroughly validated before independent certification.
