Chief of Army (Australia) visits the Craig International Ballistics manufacturing facility.
Craig International Ballistics (CIB) today welcomed the Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Rick Burr, AO, DCS and senior delegation of Defence officials to our purpose built Gold Coast manufacturing facility.
On this day, CIB celebrates our 20th Anniversary since establishment, and our long term partnership with the Australian Defence Force, providing industry leading ballistic protection systems to our war fighters. The successful partnership with ADF was recognised earlier this year with the announcement of CIB as the recipient of the Essington Lewis Award for Best ADF and SME Team of the Year.
CIB provided the delegation with a comprehensive facility tour and demonstration of our unique and advanced manufacturing capabilities. CIB provides Australia with a sovereign industrial capability in a key area of individual and force protection.
CIB supplies the Australian Defence Force a range of transparent and opaque composite ballistic protection systems for personal, vehicle and vessel protection.
CEO James Craig said “Its an absolute honour and privilege to be able to host Rick Burr and his senior delegation, and provide the team with a comprehensive tour of our facility. Our facility has been designed heavily around supporting ADF’s ballistic personal and vehicle protection requirements. Our whole team is very proud of the work we do here on the Gold Coast, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the ADF.”
CIB continues to make a significant investment in research and development and processing plant and equipment to remain a market leader, and to continue to provide our war fighters with the best possible ballistic protection.
